In stockDescription
Bontebok owe their survival to the fact that they are not good at jumping! Close to extinction in the early 19th century, a farmer them fenced in and as they were unable to jump the fence, they remained in this protected area where they thrived and their numbers increased. Pictured here with a favourite grazing grass and the Bontebok heath, endemic to the Bontebok National Park, Western Cape, South Africa.
