Description

The Yellow-billed hornbill, lively in its zig-zag flights and ground foraging, feeds on insects, rodents, seeds and fruits, often under Mopane or Sausage trees, in its bushveld and savanna habitats. Mopane trees also provide nesting cavities, where females seal themselves in, leaving a small opening for males to deliver food during incubation.
