I started New Earth as a South African footwear brand specializing in premium fashion veldskoens (vellies) and sneakers, all manufactured locally. We focus on animal print designs and branded corporate/school concepts. Our brand emerged from unexpected circumstances when my sports business closed in 2020 due to lockdown restrictions.

A Birthday Gift That Sparked a Movement

What began as a simple birthday request changed everything. When my wife asked for leopard print veldskoen shoes for her birthday, I connected with an industry contact to make it happen. I posted a single photo on social media and the response was overwhelming. That demand led me to officially launch New Earth in October 2020.
