ZEMP Leathers started in 2012 — back then we traded under the name Jinger Jack. What began as a small collection of bespoke leather belts grew, year by year, into one of the largest collections of leather goods in South Africa. Every piece is designed right here in Cape Town, and that sense of place shapes everything we make.

CRAFT THAT LASTS

We work with genuine leather and we care deeply about quality. Our bags, crossbodies, wallets, and handbags are built to age beautifully — developing character and patina the more you use them. We offer over a dozen colours across most of our styles, so you can find something that's truly yours.

For those who want to go further, we offer in-house monogramming using a traditional hand-deboss technique — letters are heated and stamped deeply into the leather surface for a distinct, lasting finish. We also offer laser engraving on all designs that feature a leather tag, letting you add a name, message, or logo that will stand the test of time.

DESIGN SAFARI™

In 2016 we launched the ZEMP DESIGN SAFARI™ — a platform to collaborate with local designers and creative minds. It's where the highest quality of our artistry meets truly unique, limited designs. These collaborations bring fresh energy to our core range and give South African creatives a stage to shine.

OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

In 2019, a new chapter began. We developed a code of conduct that led to the introduction of organic cotton lining and compostable sachets — a world first. We restructured our supply chain to ensure strict compliance with sustainable principles, and we've been proud to fly that flag ever since.
