King of the Jungle: Lions are called the “king of the jungle,” even though they actually live on grassy plains called savannas.

Loud roars: A lion’s roar can be heard up to 8 kms away. They use it to tell other lions where they are or to warn them to stay away.

Lazy days: Lions can sleep or rest for up to 20 hours a day.

Working together: The females do most of the hunting, while the males protect the pride and their territory.
